Once again the year 2016 got off to a slow start again, as we like to have a bit of a rest after the very busy Xmas period, having decided we would try and support a local charity by getting directly involved with their fund raising events, once again we decided to continue supporting "McMillan Nurses" to this end we have been both very busy and successful performing at various venues throughout the year, the highlight being the " Mayors Charity Night " in Theatre Colwyn, once again it was a tremendously successful evening raising a lot of money. During the year with our support, the overall amount collected by the McMillan team led by Pat Greenhill will exceed £2,000, on top of this, funds from our own shows will again allow us to support some of our usual charities as well, such as Welsh Air Ambulance, Help the Hero’s, Ty Gobiath, The Life Boats, to name a few.

Also during the year we have donated funds to various deserving charity events in the local area such as Marie Curie’s Llandudno pier event and Glan Conwy church fund to mention a couple.

This year we decided to record all our Xmas songs on a CD, with the help of Colin Bass a professional musician and has built a recording studio named "Wild End" in Llanwrst. We completed the project in time for Xmas, over all it was a great success, selling them at our Xmas gigs, of course all the proceeds from sales will go into our charity fund.

Again even though we started slow and were committed to one charity we have still completed some 27 shows of our own, so over all it has again been a very busy year for the band, changing our practice times to Tuesday afternoons has been a great success. Once again our effort and dedication continues, as we are always looking for new material and presentations to improve our performances.

Fortunately all the band members have managed to stay healthy which of course is a big help. Again we are starting to get bookings for various venues in the local area, and looking forward to the shows, as we get a lot of satisfaction from seeing people enjoying themselves, especially as we create the happy atmosphere for them.

Well we are all looking forward to another successful year for 2017!!!

Charity Donations for 2016 to 2017

Having had another very busy and successful year with the band. This year we have been directly supporting Macmillan Nurses and raised over £2,000 for them, on top of this we have also directly supported the Colwyn Bay Mayors charity functions by performing at them free of charge, raising £2350 for her designated charities. We have also made donations to Marie Curie and the Glan Conwy Church fund; this has of course reduced our own band charity fund, therefore reducing the amount of money we are able to donate to other beneficiaries. However we are still able to make some donations. To this end we recently held our AGM to decide which organisations to support with the funds we have accumulated over the year.

I am pleased to inform you that you have been selected, and will find enclosed a cheque for your relevant fund.

I would be very grateful if you would be so kind as to acknowledge the receipt of the payment, to enable us to keep our accounts up to date.

I have also took the opportunity to list below the other organisations we have donated money to this year, this will give you some idea of how difficult it is for us to decide who gets money as everyone is a very worthy cause, but we have only got limited funds after all the hard work and dedication we put in to earn it..

As a band we hope you find the donation we have made to your organisation of some use, and wish you all the very best for the future, and if we can help you in any way with fund raising, please do not hesitate to contact us.
